![]() ![]() I just lost another Google account today because I dared to delete my cookies and they wanted a phone verification when I tried to sign back in. I'm just wondering what people did back in the day when the "7 proxies" meme was a thing. It seems that the modern-day internet makes it much harder to be anonymous online. I could possibly learn to use/set up a VPS, but unless I buy it with Monero, how would it really be any more anonymous than just using my regular ISP connection? This would cost upwards of hundreds of dollars per month, clearly not a realistic option for personal use. I know I probably need residential IPs, but all of the sites I found that sell them have been geared toward businesses who need them in bulk for data scraping. I'm not really sure what options there are, realistically. I've been a happy customer of Mullvad for a couple of years now, but now I'm starting to look for other options. I've tried like 20 different IPs and none of the usual sites that block me are working. Someone suggested using the SOCKS5 proxy option on Firefox and I just did, about 5 minutes ago. I know there's only so much Mullvad can do, but every day it seems like more sites/services are outright blocking my IPs or making it very annoying for me to access them. ![]() ![]() I'm sorry guys, but this is getting ridiculous. ![]()
